What Happens When Your Burglar Alarm Goes Off?
When a monitored burglar alarm is activated, your system sends a signal directly to us. Our monitoring team follows the appropriate verification procedures and makes two calls to the contacts on your account. If we're unable to reach someone, the correct password isn't provided, or we're asked to dispatch, we contact the appropriate authorities. This means your security doesn't depend solely on someone being at the property to hear the alarm.

Alarm monitoring doesn't stop when our office lobby closes. While our lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, our monitoring operates around the clock—including nights, weekends, and holidays. If you're already an Alarmpro monitoring customer, adding compatible protection such as additional door or window sensors, monitored smoke detectors, panic buttons, or a medical pendant does not increase your monthly monitoring rate. Equipment and installation costs still apply, but your monitoring rate stays the same.
We Also Keep an Eye Out for System Troubles
Your alarm system can also let us know about certain non-emergency conditions. When we receive signals such as a low battery or other system troubles, our team will follow up the next business day to let you know that your system may need attention. For customers enrolled in supervised weekly testing, we can also monitor for regular system communication and follow up if an expected test signal isn't received.
Already Have an Alarm System?
You may not need to start over. In many cases, we're able to take over monitoring of an existing compatible security system. This depends on the type and condition of the equipment, whether we're able to access its programming, and other system-specific factors.
