Simple ways to help protect your home and security system while you're away
Heading out of town? A little preparation can go a long way in keeping your home safe and your mind at ease. Use this checklist to make sure your home, and your security system, are ready before you go.
Test Your Alarm System: Make sure your system is working properly and all sensors are functioning.
Share Access: Ensure everyone traveling with you knows the alarm code or how to arm/disarm the system if needed.
Security All Entry Points: Lock doors and windows, including garage doors, and check that outdoor gates are latched.
Don't Broadcast Your Plans: Avoid posting about your trip on social media while you're away.
